A backpack designed to answer the question of can there be a functional, beautiful, compostable, waterproof backpack. This pack is a mix of Dublin leather, all natural waxed canvas, and metal hardware. It is constructed with a thick layer of felted wool to give the pack some structure and padding. It has an internal pocket that perfectly fits a few books and side pockets designed to fit a 1 liter water bottle.
This is a sewing machine class with machines provided. We will accept people with zero sewing machine experience on the condition that they arrive an hour early to class to get a lesson on the machines prior to the start of class. Please communicate your previous experience to us prior to arrival so we can plan accordingly.
In the interest of getting more people in the world with these packs I am offering three levels of material fees. Materials fees are paid directly to Caleb at the class.
$150 For waxed canvas construction with leather straps and metal hardware.
$200 For Leather bottom, leather straps and metal hardware.
